Englewood & Boca Grande Monthly Fishing Updates
Spring fishing is full swing here in Englewood and Boca Grande. Result of good fisheries management is really showing as we are seeing more snook, redfish and trout than in years past. A lot of really nice snook on the flats right now as we’re seeing many fish over 30 inches. Half days trips are experiencing 15-50 snook a trip some days.
Redfish and trout are in great numbers also. Lot of quality speckled trout are coming from the grass flat areas and and on the higher stages of the tide in the backcountry we are finding the big redfish cruising the line of the mangroves.
Tarpon are starting to show up in the area with the warmer temps. I’ve lucked into a few already and have been fortunate enough to land a couple early season tarpon. The tarpon will be pouring into our area on the next couple moons so if your looking to catch one this season give me a call or text soon. Look forward to fishing with you!
