Jan. 2017 Fishing Report

Englewood & Boca Grande Monthly Fishing Updates

January 12th, 2017 | Capt. Cameron Schurlknight

Another mild winter is upon us an the fishing has benefited from that, like usual. I am still able to catch shiners most days and that has led to some awesome snook and trout fishing - even in the winter months. We've been lucky to experience 20+ snook days this time of year still.

The redfish and sheepshead have been grouping up this month too. I've finally starting to see the big schools of sheepshead together, I predict after this front it's gonna be on! The redfish are still abundant as well, incoming tides on the shallow flats has been productive with many oversized fish.

Overall it's been another great Winter to fish with the mild temps as the fish have continued to feed heavily throughout. Drop me an email or give me a call to get in on the bite!
